The cornestone of civilisation is the traditional family... one man living in love with one wife, united for life, bearing children, raising them to serve God and humanity. Any deviation from this model invariably results in unhappiness and the eventual breakdown of society.  The western family is in crisis.  Faithfulness in marriage is no longer considered normative.  And it's leading to distrust, reduced respect, SDT's, violence and much too frequently to divorce.  It's the children who pay, and who will usually carry the pain and suffering into their future relationships, the cycle repeating.

Today, much is being spoken, written and done to help reverse this trend.  We believe there is hope for the family, and we want to help in at least three ways :

Our primary concern is prevention. Most needed are people trained to listen, to guide and to teach God's better way, helping promote harmony at home, preventing family strife and deflecting this daily human tragedy.   HOME & FAMILY LIFE association plans to distribute wholesome Bible-based books and literature designed to assist young people and the less young to build their lives and families on Christ Jesus, the solid Rock.

Crisis intervention. Years of denial can rapidly burst into battle.  Families can explode within minutes.  We aim to build a team of volunteer listening specialists, available by a telephone "Hot-line" to intervene at such crisis moments, helping bridge over troubled waters, directing aching hearts toward trained professional Christian counsellors and permanent solutions in Jesus.

Broadcasting. HOME & FAMILY LIFE is please to collaborate with RADIO 74 to assure that a steady flow of family-building information remains on the airwaves. We have accepted the responsability of receiving donations in Switzerland and to disperse them towards the various family-oriented programmes broadcast on RADIO 74, locally, and by satellite and the internet around the world.  Thank you for your generous donations, wich will be faithfully used to help meet the station's financial needs.
